KI-LiveS
AI laboratory for distributed and embedded systems
(KI-LiveS)
About us
The InUPH participates as a cooperation partner in the KI-LiveS project. Together with the Chair for Transport and Logistics, the Institute for Production and Industrial Information Management (PIM), the Chair for Distributed Systems, the Chair for Embedded Systems in Computer Science (UDE) and the Chair for Computer Graphics at the TU Dortmund University, innovative approaches are to be developed to advance “artificial intelligence (AI)” in Germany.
Our Goal
Our goal is to investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) can be better anchored in industry, where it can lead to innovative products and services that sustainably strengthen the german industry.
How can university research help here? These are the questions posed by this joint project. For this purpose, an interdisciplinary project group consisting of university professors from the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) and the Technical University of Dortmund (TUD) has been formed within the framework of the University Alliance Ruhr (UA-Ruhr). The group will develop an AI laboratory for qualification in connection with research projects in the field of AI. The project team is composed of university lecturers in computer science as well as in the application areas of production and logistics, information and project management and health care. The AI laboratory is to be installed and used, in particular, in connection with various master’s programmes as well as with a number of corporate partners from business practice.
